Special entertainment on Memorial Day (May 27) at Morgan’s Wonderland will include opening ceremonies at 10:30 a.m., immediately preceding the popular “The Magic of Friendship Show” blending puppets, magic and comedy with a patriotic twist.  The Inclusion Fusion show choir will perform at 11:30 a.m., and DJ Happy will follow with music for an all-access dance party and parade led by Morgan’s Wonderland goodwill ambassadors.  Rounding out the lineup will be face painting, accessible midway-inspired games and other interactive fun from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, at next-door Morgan’s Inspiration Island, guests will enjoy all kinds of aquatic fun in the sun, thanks to spouts, geysers, dumping buckets and lots of other get-wet gizmos.  The splash park includes five major, tropically-themed splash pads, the River Boat Adventure ride and support facilities such as the Wheelchair Valet, where guests can transfer out of their personal wheelchairs into specially-designed waterproof wheelchairs.

From June 1 through Aug. 18, Morgan’s Wonderland will offer a kaleidoscope of special entertainment on themed days – Musical Monday, Theater Tuesday, Wonderland Wednesday, Twirltastic Thursday, Friendship Friday, Super Saturday and Sunday Funday.

In addition, Morgan’s Wonderland will host summertime special events including Sheriff for a Day activities Monday, June 10, in cooperation with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, and  a Thursday, July 4, salute to active-duty members of the armed forces and first-responders such as firefighters, law-enforcement officers and emergency-medical professionals.

The only theme park of its kind in the world, Morgan’s Wonderland offers more than 25 attractions including wheelchair-accessible, rides, playgrounds and gardens for everyone’s enjoyment.  Paralyzed Veterans of America honored Morgan’s Wonderland and Morgan’s Inspiration Island with the 2018 Barrier-Free America Award, which attests to the parks’ mission of inclusion – bringing together those with and without disabilities for fun and better understanding of one another.  In addition, TIME included Morgan’s Inspiration Island on the magazine’s 2018 list of World’s Greatest Places.
